Party Cheeseball

I have been making a cheese ball for the holidays since I was a little girl.   It’s a family tradition that I have continued with my own family, and Christmas wouldn’t seem the same without it. I host Christmas dinner and always have several appetizers, to nibble on while my dinner is cooking.  I sometimes swap out the pecans for toasted sliced almonds, but it is so good either way.  Serve with your favorite crackers.

What you’ll need:

2-8 Ounces cream cheese, softened

2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 Teaspoon lemon juice

1-2 drops of lemon vitality essential oil

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

pinch of sea salt

Chopped pecans or toasted sliced almonds

Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese in a mixing bowl and blend on medium speed until well blended.

Add Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, lemon vitality EO, red pepper, and salt. Mix well.

Shape into a ball, put in plastic wrap, then refrigerate 2 hours.  Remove cheese all from plastic wrap and roll in pecans. Serve with crackers.

*Essential oil tip- you can always use lemon vitality essential oil in place of lemon juice, if you like less lemon. I only use Young Living Essential Oils because of their high standards for purity.
